Mumbai, March 13 (UNI) Filmmaker Milan Luthria has revealed that he is keen to collaborate again with actor Ajay Devgn, though he insists that their reunion will only take shape once the right script comes along.
Milan and Ajay have shared a long creative partnership, having previously worked together on films such as “Kachche Dhaage”, “Chori Chori”, “Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai” and “Baadshaho”.
“It should happen soon. We are always discussing ideas and waiting for the right energy to come into the room. He’s instrumental in my career. And we both share a very strong mutual trust. So, it is contingent on me that I must take something of great value to him. And as soon as I find that material, I immediately go reach out to him and we discuss it.
“So it’s been a while, but he’s the one actor that I really love being with on set and off set. We have a great friendship. So yes, work is on. And as soon as something is exciting, we will, we will put it together,” Milan told Variety India.
Their most recent partnership was the action thriller 2017 “Baadshaho”, which featured a multi-starrer cast including Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Vidyut Jammwal, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra. Set in the emergency era of 1975–77, it was written by Rajat Arora.
Milan’s last theatrical release was “Tadap,” which marked the debut of Ahan Shetty. It also featured Tara Sutaria, Saurabh Shukla and Kumud Mishra in key roles.
