Varanasi, February 25 (UNI) A Mexican couple solemnised their marriage according to Vedic rituals on a boat in front of Assi Ghat on Ganga in Kashi on Tuesday evening.
Amid chants of mantras, the foreign couple, dressed in Indian attire, tied the knot for seven lives.
Mexicans Ruiz Cabol and Gonzalo Miguel were deeply influenced by Indian art, Sanatan culture, and Vedic traditions. They decided to begin their married life in Kashi. Their deep devotion to Mother Ganga brought them to Kashi. This is why they chose a boat on the Ganga for their wedding ceremony.
Acharya Deepak Pandey, who performed the wedding ceremony, said that the groom, Gonzalo Miguel, and the bride, Ruiz, contacted him through a group of people. The wedding was completed according to Hindu customs with a ‘havan’ (fire sacrifice), the exchange of garlands, and the donation of vermillion.
