Meritorious service medals for 2025 announced

Bhopal: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the conferment of the Union Home Minister’s Distinguished Service Medal and Meritorious Service Medal for the year 2025 to police officers and personnel for their commendable, exemplary and outstanding services. Several officers from the Madhya Pradesh Police have been selected for these prestigious honours.

Under the Distinguished Service Medal category, a total of 123 officers and personnel, ranging from senior police officials to constables, have been selected. Prominent among them are Pankaj Kumar Shrivastava, Special Director General of Police, EOW/Vigilance, Police Headquarters, Bhopal; Avadhesh Kumar Goswami, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Urban Police, Bhopal; Durg Vijay Singh Bhadauria, Superintendent of Police, Zonal Office, Special Branch, Gwalior; Malay Jain, Staff Officer to the Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh; Amit Saxena, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Personnel), Police Headquarters, Bhopal; Pritam Singh Balre, Sub-Divisional Officer (Police), Niwas Sub-Division, Mandla district; Vijay Choudhary, ACP, Indore; and Anil Singh Chauhan, Inspector, Superintendent of Police Office, Khandwa district.

In the Meritorious Service Medal category, 146 officers and personnel have been selected. Key awardees include Ruchi Vardhan Mishra, Inspector General of Police (Administration), Police Headquarters, Bhopal; Shiyas A., Inspector General of Police (Cyber), State Cyber Headquarters, Bhopal; Tarun Nayak, Deputy Inspector General of Police, ANO, Police Headquarters, Bhopal; Bittu Sehgal, Additional Superintendent of Police, Khargone district; Arvind Kumar Dubey, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Railway Headquarters, Bhopal; Amit Verma, Additional Superintendent of Police, Dindori; Ashish Khare, Additional Superintendent of Police, Chhindwara; Umesh Kumar Sharma, Additional Secretary, Vidhan Sabha, Bhopal; Shahid Ahmad, Deputy Superintendent of Police, MP Police Academy, Bhopal; Rituraj Gupta and Satyendra Kumar Verma, Deputy Superintendents of Police, QD Branch, Police Headquarters, Bhopal; Satish Chaturvedi, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mandla; Prakash Mishra, Sub-Divisional Officer (Police), Rehti, Sehore district; and Ratnesh Tomar, Assistant Commandant, 14th Battalion Special Armed Force, Gwalior.

Police Headquarters described the honours as recognition of dedication, professionalism and sustained service rendered by the awardees in strengthening policing and public safety in the State.
