Srinagar, Aug 25 (UNI) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter Iltija Mufti was granted a regular passport, officials said on Friday.
Iltija had moved High Court after she was issued a two-year United Arab Emirates (UAE) specific passport for higher studies in April this year.
“She has been issued a regular passport now,” an official said.
PDP sources too confirmed the issuance of passport to Iltija.
“She has been given ten year passport after a long drawn battle,” a PDP leader said. “The regional passport office called Iltija to his office and handed over the regular passport.” .
Iltija had applied for her passport renewal in June 2022. In February Iltija approached Jammu and Kashmir High Court and sought its intervention for issuance of passport.
