Medicines in MP are fake, alleges Congress

By Special Correspondent

Bhopal: Congress media in-charge Dr Mukesh Nayak on Wednesday alleged that many medicines supplied in Madhya Pradesh are counterfeit. He claimed that the state’s healthcare system is in crisis due to the circulation of substandard drugs and accused the BJP-led government of turning a blind eye to the issue. Dr Nayak expressed little faith that the government would take any concrete action against the pharmaceutical companies involved. He urged citizens to remain vigilant while purchasing medicines and to verify their authenticity. According to him, the government’s failure to ensure the quality of essential drugs amounts to criminal negligence, putting millions of lives at risk across the state.
