Measures to prevent cervical cancer discussed

A one-day awareness program was organized by the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at LN Ayurveda College and Hospital Bhopal to create awareness about cervical cancer. Measures to prevent cervical cancer were discussed in it. Dr. Neeta Gupta (Director Asha Kunj Fertility and Gynecology Center) was present as the keynote speaker in the program. Vibha Pandav of Serum Institute of India, the sponsor of the program, was also present. Principal Dr. Sapan Jain, Director Dr. Vishal Shivhare and Vice-Principal Dr. Varsha Vanjari were present as special guests. After Dev Stuti and guest welcome, the seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Neeta Gupta and team.

Take vaccine on time

Cases of cervical cancer are increasing continuously, so it is necessary to take a vaccine on time to prevent this disease. He said that a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer (HVP) is available in all hospitals today. If this vaccine is taken at the age of 9 to 14 years, then two doses will have to be taken.

Get a Pap smear test done

Dr. Vibha Pandav of Serum Institute of India gave detailed information about this vaccine, and she said that women above 36 years of age should necessarily get a Pap smear test done. Assistant Professor, Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Dr. Chitra Kalan Patel and Dr. Nishigandha Kubde and others were present in the success of the program.
