New Delhi, Jan 1 (UNI) Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday reported 29.58% year-on-year rise in total sales at 1,78,248 units in the month of December, 2024.
The car major had recorded total sales of 137,551 units in the month of December, 2023.
“In December 2024, Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 178,248 units. Total sales in the month include domestic sales of 132,523 units, sales to other OEM (original equipment manufacturer) of 8,306 units and the highest ever monthly exports of 37,419 units,” the car company said in a release.
The car company’s domestic sales in the month of December, 2024 stood at 132,523 units, up 24% as compared to 106,492 units in the same month of the previous year.
The company’s total exports sales in the month of December, 2024 stood at 37,419 units as against 26,884 units in December, 2023.
During December 2024, the company saw its compact and mini segment comprising of car models such as Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR, Alto and S-Presso recording strong performance with total sales of 62,324 units as compared to 48,298 units in December, 2023.
