Many programs to be held on Environment Day at IGRMS

Bhopal: Various programs are being organized by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya on the occasion of World Environment Day. Under this, trees and birds will be identified during trekking from 6.30 am in the Hum Aur Hamara Paryavaran programme in collaboration with Youth Hostel Association of India and Bhopal Birds Society. Doodle based painting competition on Manav Sangrahalaya will be organized at Aavriti Bhavan from 8 am onwards. Do and Learn Museum Educational Programme will conduct a 15-day workshop on Kalighat Paintings of West Bengal under the programme which will be open to participants above 12 years of age. The programme will be held from 11 am onwards. Along with this, an exhibition of Narmada based paintings of late Amrit Lal Begad will be organised in the Veethi Complex intimate exhibition building from Reva bank at 12.30 pm. A ritual programme will be organised by the Tamil community residing in Bhopal at the Punit Vana Kovil Kadu and Ayanar Devasthanam of the museum at 11.30 am in Punit Van. On the same day at 4 pm, a lecture will be given by Mr. Lokesh Ohri under the Museum papular Lecture in Rock Art Heritage Building. Amritasya Narmada, a dance drama based on the life story of a river written on the pages of the past, will be presented by 14 artists of Kartik Kala Academy Indore under the direction of Dr. Suchitra Harmalkar from 6.30 pm.

Results of ‘Treasure Hunt’ competition announced

On the occasion of International Museum Day (18 May 2024), a ‘Khazaane Ki Khoj’ competition based on the exhibitions and heritage of the museums located in Bhopal was organized at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. In this program, first, second, third and consolation prizes have been announced for the winning participants, in which first is Dr. Gaurav Sharma and Vikash Meena, second is Mr. Azam Yusuf and Ritu Azam, third is Mr. Anuj Jain and Mr. Shubek Yadav, consolation is Mrs. Leena Jain and Mr. Ashwini Jain.
