MANIT introduces new courses in Energy and Electric Vehicle Engineering, and Energy Economics

Bhopal: Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) Bhopal has unveiled two pioneering academic programs—B.Tech in Energy and Electric Vehicle Engineering and M.Sc. in Energy Economics—set to launch in the upcoming academic session. These courses are designed to equip students with crucial skills in sustainable energy, electric mobility, and energy policy, aligning with India’s national goals of energy security, green technology, and economic sustainability.

The B.Tech in Energy and Electric Vehicle Engineering is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program offering expertise in energy systems, EV technology, battery management, renewable energy integration, and sustainable transportation. The course blends theoretical knowledge with practical experience in advanced labs and industry-driven projects, preparing students for careers in EV manufacturing, renewable energy sectors, and R&D. Admissions will be based on the JEE Mains rank.

The M.Sc. in Energy Economics focuses on energy market analysis, policy development, and economic modeling, equipping professionals to tackle global challenges in energy security and sustainability. Admission will be based on the JAM score.

These programs align with national initiatives like NEP 2020, the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP), and the National Solar Mission, fostering expertise in clean energy and electric mobility. Dr. Arvind Mittal, Head of the Energy Centre, emphasized their role in preparing students for a sustainable energy future.
