Man electrocuted after climbing train dies during treatment

Bhopal: A man in his 30s, identified as Mohammad Salman, died on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment for severe burn injuries sustained after accidental contact with a high-tension wire at Bhopal’s Nishatpura railway station. The incident occurred on June 13, when Salman, a native of Narsinghgarh, left his maternal aunt’s house in Bhanpur without informing anyone and climbed atop a stationary train. He was electrocuted after coming in contact with an overhead wire.

Bystanders rushed him to a nearby hospital, but despite receiving treatment for eight days, he succumbed to his injuries.

According to Chhola Mandir police, Salman had been battling depression following the breakdown of his marriage. His wife had left him a year and a half ago, and repeated efforts to reconcile had failed. Family members said this emotional strain had seriously impacted his mental health. He had recently come to Bhopal for medical help.
