Major IPS reshuffle in Telangana Police, 20 officers transferred

Hyderabad, Jan 8 (UNI) The Telangana government has ordered a major reshuffle in the State police, transferring and posting 20 IPS and non-cadre officers across Hyderabad City and its surrounding commissionerates.

The transfers were effected through G.O. Rt. No. 38 issued by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, based on proposals submitted by the Director General of Police, in view of the reorganisation and creation of new zones and commissionerates.

As per the orders, Tafseer Iqubal, IPS (2008), Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), Hyderabad City, has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), South Range, covering Shamshabad, Golconda, Rajendranagar and Charminar zones. N. Swetha, IPS (2012), has been transferred as Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), North Range, comprising Jubilee Hills, Khairatabad and Secunderabad zones.

S M Vijay Kumar, IPS (2012), Commissioner of Police, Siddipet, has been posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Hyderabad City, while Sadhana Rashmi Perumal, IPS (2019), has been appointed as Commissioner of Police, Siddipet, in his place.

Several Deputy Commissioners of Police have been shifted and posted to newly created zones in Hyderabad City, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Future City commissionerates, including postings at Qutubullapur, Maheshwaram, Secunderabad, Uppal, Charminar, L.B. Nagar, Chevella, Kukatpally, Serilingampally, Khairatabad, Rajendranagar, Golconda, Jubilee Hills, Shamshabad and Shadnagar.

The transfers also include postings of officers from intelligence, special operations teams and non-cadre services to key law and order zones.
