Bhopal: On New Year’s Day, the sacred Mahamastakabhisheka and other religious rituals of Lord Neminath were performed with great devotion at the ancient Zhirno temple in Bhopal. Manoj Banga, President, and Manoj R.M., Secretary of the Panchayat Committee Trust, Bhopal, informed that special prayers were offered under the spiritual guidance of Upadhyay Shri Vishok Sagar Ji Maharaj.
Marking the first Chaturdashi of the New Year, rituals including Mahamastakabhisheka, Shanti Dhara, and Neminath Vidhan were conducted in the august presence of Upadhyay Shri Vishok Sagar Ji Muniraj, Shraman Shri Vinibodh Sagar Ji Muniraj, and their disciples. Hundreds of devotees participated and earned religious merit.
In his discourse, Upadhyay Shri Vishok Sagar Ji Muniraj highlighted the spiritual significance of the miraculous Neminath temple, stating that its darshan bestows special energy and fulfills sincere wishes. He also explained the four types of Abhishek described in Jain scriptures—Janmabhishek, Rajyabhishek, Dikshabhishek, and Pratimaabhishek—each symbolising a vital spiritual milestone in the life of a Tirthankara.
