Mumbai, Dec 29 (UNI) Veteran Shiv Sena leader Satish Pradhan who was first mayor of neighbouring Thane city, passed away on Sunday at a hospital here due to age-related health issues, his family members said.
He had played a key role in formation of the Shiv Sena alongside Bal Thackeray in 1966.
Pradhan was also the member of Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra for two terms.
His last rites will be performed on Monday morning.
