Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) Mumbai police have increased security around Haji Ali Dargah, an internationally renowned location, following a bomb threat, an official stated on Friday.
According to sources, a large number of police personnel were deployed around Dargah in uniform and in plain clothes.
Today during Friday prayer, special arrangements were made on the entry and exit points of the dargah.
It may be recalled that on Thursday an administrative officer of the Haji Ali Dargah Trust lodged a complaint after an unknown person called and claimed to have planted a bomb inside the dargah, threatening to blow it up.
The caller also allegedly claimed that the land belonged to him and also threatened to kill those who tried to intervene, the police said.
As per police officials, the complainant Mohamed Ahmed Taher Shaikh stated that the caller had identified him as ‘Paswan” from Delhi and had called twice with a threat call.
Local Tardeo police and Mumbai crime branch CID are investigating the case; no arrest has been made so far.
