Kolhapur, (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today arrested a rural Revenue officer of Satve village in Panahala tehsil of the district for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 6,000 from a complainant.
The arrested accused, identified as Hanmant Shankar Badde (55), a rural Revenue officer at Satve village in Panahala tehsil of the district, had demanded Rs 10,000 as bribe for making correction in purchase order of plot area. He had already accepted Rs 4,000 as first installment of the bribe from the complainant and was insistent on giving the remaining amount of Rs 6,000, said a press release here.
However, complainant informed about this to ACB unit office, whose team arrested Badde for demanding Rs 6,000 bribe (remaining amount) from the complainant.
