Mumbai, Nov 2 (UNI) The city police have sought custody of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother from USA after the United States authorities have alerted them about the presence of Anmol Bishnoi (25), younger brother of Lawrence, in their country, an official said here on Sarturday.
According to a report, following an alert from the US government, the Mumbai Police have begun the process of seeking his extradition and, to this effect, the Crime Branch approached a special court here recently.
In application to the court, the Mumbai Police submitted that they intend to initiate Anmol’s extradition in connection with the case of alleged firing on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s house in suburban Bandra.
With Lawrence behind bars, major operations, including the firing outside Khan’s house in April, was alleged to have been carried out by Anmol.
During the investigation in NCP leader Baba Siddiqe murder case, Lawrence Bishnoi’s name was figured after one of the accused told investigators that before commission of the offence, Lawrence Bishnoi had spoken to him.
