Bhopal: Various unions representing temporary, outsourced, part-time, and panchayat-level employees, including bank mitras, pump operators, sanitation workers, and revenue surveyors, will hold a mass protest titled “Maha Kranti Andolan” on 12 October at Ambedkar Park, Tulsi Nagar, Bhopal. The event is being organised under the banner of the All Department Outsource, Temporary, Part-time, and Gram Panchayat Employees Joint Front, Madhya Pradesh.
Front president Vasudev Sharma said the agitation aims to demand regular employment, a minimum monthly wage of ₹21,000, implementation of the “equal pay for equal work” policy, and the abolition of the contract and outsourcing system. He said the Supreme Court’s judgement on 19 August 2025 has revived hope among temporary employees, affirming that equal work must attract equal pay and social security as a constitutional right.
Sharma added that regular recruitment for Class III and IV posts in the state has been nearly halted for two decades, forcing departments to rely on low-paid temporary staff. Thousands of employees from across Madhya Pradesh are expected to participate in this “historic” movement, calling upon the government to end contractual practices and provide permanent employment opportunities.
