Caracas, Jan 8 (UNI/SPUTNIK) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were injured during their kidnapping, Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello said.
“Silvia suffered a head injury and punches to the body, while Maduro sustained a leg wound,” Cabello said on Wednesday.
However, the US military had no plans to take Cilia Flores away, he noted.
“When the time came for this extremely traumatic event, when they were taking Nicolas Maduro away, they had no intention of taking Cilia. And Cilia told them, ‘If you take my husband, you have to take me too,” Cabello said.
