Bhopal, October 17: Madhya Pradesh is making a prominent statement on the global stage at ITB Asia 2025, the prestigious travel trade show held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo in Singapore. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) pavilion was officially inaugurated by Dr. Shilpak Ambule, High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Singapore. This participation marks a significant step toward globally positioning the state as a diverse cultural, natural, and adventure destination.

Global Showcase of State’s Potential

Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary of Tourism, Culture, and MD of MPTB, stated that ITB Asia provides a vital platform to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s rich potential and diversity. “Our goal is to establish MP as a leading international destination where heritage, wildlife, spirituality, and sustainable tourism converge to offer truly unforgettable experiences,” he said. The delegation is holding B2B meetings focused on boosting inbound tourism, highlighting the state’s wildlife sanctuaries, cultural heritage, and potential for film and wedding tourism.

Key Collaborations and Strategic Meetings

Shukla held important meetings to forge strategic alliances. He discussed the upcoming MICE Summit (September 9-11, 2026) with Lead Consultant K.G. Mukiri, exploring opportunities to promote MP tourism in African nations like Tanzania and South Africa. Furthermore, a crucial discussion was held with Mitch Goh, Director of Public Policy for Asia Pacific at Airbnb. This meeting centered on promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism, with a focus on training rural homestay operators in hospitality and widely publicizing Madhya Pradesh’s innovative tourism practices.

Highlighting Sustainable and Safe Tourism

The MPTB pavilion is attracting strong appreciation for showcasing the state’s ancient heritage, UNESCO monuments, and responsible tourism initiatives. Madhya Pradesh is being presented as a clean, green, and safe destination, particularly attractive for women travelers. This strategic engagement at ITB Asia is central to the state’s plan to boost its global visibility, strengthen trade relations, and drive sustainable economic growth based on inclusive tourism.
