  • Drone data repository will be built soon and drone school will start

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced a comprehensive action plan to establish Madhya Pradesh as a major hub for drone manufacturing and technology. The state government has approved the Madhya Pradesh Drone Promotion and Use Policy-2025 to attract investment and drive innovation, economic growth, and employment in the sector.

A drone data repository will be developed to enhance the use of drone technology across various sectors. Inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s Gati Shakti initiative, this repository will serve as a centralized platform for government drone data and imagery, promoting interdepartmental collaboration and real-time monitoring. By integrating GIS-based planning and analytical tools, the policy aims to improve resource allocation, infrastructure development, and decision-making efficiency.

The Department of Science and Technology will ensure secure data management, aligning with the National Geographic Policy-2022 and future amendments. Secure storage and transmission technologies will be used to protect sensitive information.

Drones Revolutionizing Agriculture

Drones are proving to be an invaluable tool in agriculture. They monitor crop health, detect diseases, evaluate yields, and spray fertilizers and pesticides with precision, reducing waste and environmental harm. By analyzing water distribution, drones optimize irrigation, leading to efficient resource use and improved productivity.

As drone technology advances, it is transforming industries, reducing human labor, and enabling accurate data collection even from remote locations. With its progressive drone policy, Madhya Pradesh is set to become a leader in drone innovation, boosting development and efficiency across multiple sectors.
