New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) The Lok Sabha on Monday was adjourned till 2 pm, after Opposition members resorted to heavy sloganeering on Adani issue.
As soon as the House re-convened at 12, the Opposition members started raising slogans against the government on Gautam Adani issue and trooped into the well of the House.
Amid the ruckus, Presiding Officer Sandhya Ray called for the papers to be laid on the table of the House. After the papers were laid, the chair urged the agitating members to go back to their seats and called the House to proceed with the Zero Hour.
But the Opposition members did not pay heed to her request and continued raising slogans and creating a ruckus.
Sandhya Ray then adjourned the house till 2 pm.
Earlier in the day, when the Lower House met for the day at 11 am, as soon as Speaker Om Birla came to the chair, the opposition members started raising some issues, which could not be heard clearly. On this, Birla adjourned the House till 12 noon.
