LoP Singhar Flags Deep Concern Over Rising Caste and Religious Tensions in MP

Bhopal: Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar has expressed deep distress over a recent surge in incidents promoting casteism and religious frenzy across Madhya Pradesh. In a video message, Singhar condemned recent events, including a caste-based incident in Damoh, a controversial statement by Anil Mishra in Gwalior, and divisive posters put up on Bhopal’s streets.

Constitution, Not WhatsApp University, Will Rule

“These incidents have disturbed me to the core,” Singhar stated. He asserted that the country would be governed by the ideals of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and the Constitution he authored, “not by the WhatsApp University of the BJP and RSS.” He emphasized the Congress party’s and Rahul Gandhi’s commitment to protecting the Constitution and urged the Chief Minister to immediately halt such divisive activities. Singhar stressed that Madhya Pradesh is a land of peace and harmony where there should be absolutely no room for caste discrimination or religious extremism.
