LIC hands over dividend cheque of Rs 7324.34 cr to the government

Kolkata, Aug 29 (UNI) The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) today handed over a dividend cheque of Rs 7324.34 crore to the Government of India.

LIC’s CEO and MD R. Doraiswamy presented the dividend cheque of Rs.7324.34 crore to union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman, as the Government of India’s share of dividend, approved by the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting held on August 26.

LIC has completed 69 years since its incorporation and as on Marcg 31, 2025, had an asset base of Rs. 56.23 Lakh crore. It continues to be the market leader in the Indian Life Insurance market, an LIC statement said.
