Bhopal: A historic moment was witnessed on Saturday at the Madhya Pradesh Congress headquarters as a long-standing demand of party workers and office-bearers was finally fulfilled with the inauguration of a dedicated library. The much-awaited initiative was inaugurated by All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Madhya Pradesh, Harish Choudhary.
The library has been established under the guidance and directions of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President, Jitu Patwari. The event was attended by senior leaders including Organisation General Secretary Dr Sanjay Kamle and Chairman of the Congress Vichar Vibhag, Shri Bhupendra Gupta, alongside several prominent office-bearers and party workers. The gathering described the initiative as a milestone in strengthening the intellectual and ideological foundation of the Congress organisation.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kamle emphasised that the library would prove immensely beneficial in enhancing the intellectual capacity of Congress workers and leaders. It will house valuable literature on the history of the Congress, its ideology, biographies of great leaders, and other inspirational works. He further assured that the facility would be expanded in the future to serve as a comprehensive knowledge hub for all party members.
He remarked that the Congress is not merely a political movement, but a broader ideology rooted in the values of equality, justice, and fraternity. In this context, the library would serve as a vital platform for the study and deeper understanding of these democratic traditions.
Bhupendra Gupta added that the library would be managed by the Vichar Vibhag, with continuous collection and curation of literature and new publications. He underlined that the space would not only remain a repository of books but also evolve into a centre for discussion, debate, and dialogue.
Party workers and leaders present expressed enthusiasm, describing the inauguration as symbolic of a new direction and renewed commitment for the Congress organisation. They affirmed that the library would play a pivotal role in building organisational strength and sharpening political perspectives in the years ahead.
