Lathicharge on BPSC aspirants reveals dictatorial attitude of Nitish govt: Tejaswi

Patna, Dec 6 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Bihar assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Friday alleged that the “barbaric lathicharge” on the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants has revealed the “dictatorial and autocratic attitude” of the state’s Nitish Kumar government.

Yadav alleged here that it has become a prestige issue for Chief Minister Nitish Kaumar, who was averse to resolving the issues through dialogue with the BPSC aspirants. He said the stand of the government was as if conducting such competitive examinations was just a formality.

Meanwhile strongly condemning the lathicharge on the “peaceful protest” of the BPSC aspirants, RJD state spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan said Tejaswi Yadav has already warned the government that his party would not remain silent if the demands of the aspirants were not conceded.

Terming the normalisation system as unjustified, Gagan said that when it was not introduced in the UPSC it should have not been implemented in the BPSC as well.

Demanding cancellation of normalisation, Gagan asked the government and the commission to conduct the examination in one setting in the interest of the aspirants.
