Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Saturday that following the Ladli Behna and Ladli Laxmi Yojana, the government will introduce the Lakhpati Behna Yojana to empower women and help them become millionaires.
Addressing a gratitude program in the Bhopal North assembly constituency, the Chief Minister stated, “The BJP is committed to fulfilling every promise, marking another moment of joy for women. Currently, Rs 1,250 is deposited into sisters’ accounts, and this amount will gradually increase to Rs 3,000.”
Chouhan emphasized the goal of ensuring that women have a monthly income of at least Rs 10,000 and an annual income exceeding Rs 1 lakh. He outlined plans to make women millionaires by providing various employment opportunities through self-help groups.
Taking a swipe at the Congress, Chouhan criticized their tactics during elections, stating, “Despite their maneuvers, Congress members are now lamenting the alleged faults in EVM machines for their loss. However, their defeat is a result of their lies, dishonesty, and arrogance.”
Chouhan pointed out that those making allegations against the Election Commission are themselves corrupt, asserting that Congress and corruption are synonymous. He reminded the audience that during their 15 months in power, the Congress failed to fulfill any of their promises, including providing unemployment allowances and loan waivers.
“The public has lost trust in Congress because of unfulfilled promises and lack of support. In Madhya Pradesh, they now trust Modi and Mama (brother),” Chouhan affirmed.
As part of the program, women honored Chouhan with garlands featuring the names of all Lok Sabha constituencies on 29 lotus flowers. They pledged to contribute to a landslide victory for the BJP in 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, ensuring the re-election of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.
