Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) Actress Kirti Kulhari, who grabbed the spotlight with a compelling performance in Amitabh Bachchan-starrer “Pink”, is set to traverse darker psychological terrain with “Chakor Ban”, an upcoming feature that marks the directorial debut of Rakesh Sain.
With films like “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” “Mission Mangal” and “Four More Shots” giving her a firm toehold in Bollywood, Kulhari will be seen essaying a complex antagonist in “Chakor Ban”, reports Variety India.
For over two decades, Rakesh Sain has been working with Sriram Raghavan as assistant and associate director and has collaborated in films like “Ek Hasina Thi,” “Agent Vinod,” “Badlapur,” “Andhadhun” and “Merry Christmas.”
Rakesh was one of the directors of the 2020 Indian Hindi-language anthology film titled “Zindagi inShort.” He helmed the segment called “Nano So Phobia,” which explored the topic of ‘Confusion of old age’ and featured Swaroop Sampat, Nidhi Singh and Arun Kushwah. It was shot by Pratham Mehta and the editing was handled by Dnayananda Samarth.
Meanwhile, Kulhari has also concluded filming for Kinare, her first production venture under Kintsukuroi Films. It is written and directed by Akbar Azam Quadri and shot by cinematographer Arjun Sundarram. “Kinare” features Rajeev Siddhartha, Ravi Taneja and Alka Amin.
The film is currently in the post-production stage and is expected to hit the screens this year.
