Khandelwal hits back at Cong over corruption charges

Betul: Madhya Pradesh BJP President Hemant Khandelwal visited Betul today and strongly responded to Congress leader Jeetu Patwari’s remark that the BJP government ranks third in corruption. Khandelwal countered, asking, “Why doesn’t Jeetu Patwari speak about the state of transfer postings during the Kamal Nath government? Why doesn’t he tell the public why they voted that government out?”

Khandelwal further addressed the recent comment made by former Chief Minister Uma Bharti regarding the need for honesty in administration. He said, “Uma ji is our senior leader; I will talk to her. Honesty in governance and administration is essential, and we are committed to working in that direction.”

The BJP state president made these remarks while inaugurating the newly constructed tehsil building and other development projects in Betul. The event was also attended by Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey.

Khandelwal’s sharp rebuttal comes as political tensions continue to rise in the state, with both BJP and Congress trading barbs ahead of upcoming local elections.
