Key member of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang deported from USA to India

New Delhi, Jan 7 (UNI) Aman, alias Aman Kumar Bhainswal, a fugitive and key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was brought back to India from the United States by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and INTERPOL.

Bhainswal was wanted by the Haryana Police in connection with serious criminal offences, including murder, rioting, and criminal conspiracy.

“Bhainswal is a notorious criminal and a key member of the organized Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. He was earlier arrested in India and later granted bail. However, the accused did not face trial and subsequently absconded. At the request of Haryana Police, the CBI got a Red Notice published against him through INTERPOL,” a CBI official said.

The official stated that the accused was later traced and geolocated in the USA. Bhainswal was successfully deported from the United States and taken into custody by a team of Haryana Police upon arrival at Delhi Airport. “CBI, as the National Central Bureau for INTERPOL in India, coordinates with all Law Enforcement Agencies through BHARATPOL for assistance via INTERPOL channels. More than 150 wanted criminals have been brought back in the last few years through coordination via INTERPOL channels,” the official added.
