Kerala’s health system has undergone remarkable transformation over the past decade, achieving standards comparable to many developed nations in health indicators and public health outcomes. Under the Nava Kerala Mission – Aardram Project, primary health centres have been transformed into people-friendly Family Health Centres. The State has also made significant strides in digital healthcare delivery, universal palliative care, modern diagnostic laboratory networks, and innovative awareness campaigns to combat lifestyle and communicable diseases.

Officials said these initiatives have collectively strengthened the public health infrastructure and improved service accessibility across Kerala.

The Vision 2031 framework seeks to define Kerala’s long-term development trajectory through thematic seminars in all districts, focusing on 33 key sectors. The upcoming health seminar will assess major programmes launched since 2016, evaluate achievements, identify persisting challenges, and outline strategies to build a resilient and inclusive healthcare system.

The event aims to foster collaboration among policymakers, health professionals, and academic experts to envision a robust, equitable, and sustainable health system for Kerala by 2031.
