Kejriwal targets BJP on AAP worker’s murder in Delhi CMs constituency, cites law and order failure

New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) A day after an AAP woman worker, Rachna Yadav, was shot dead in North West Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh, former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal alleged a complete breakdown of law and order in the national capital.

Taking to ‘X’, Kejriwal posted that the situation in Delhi has deteriorated to such an extent that no one is safe anymore.

“This incident in the Chief Minister’s own assembly constituency is proof of the BJP government’s failure and the complete collapse of law and order. This incident is extremely condemnable and unacceptable. My deepest condolences to the family of Aam Aadmi Party’s courageous worker, Rachana Yadav. May God grant peace to the departed soul,” he posted.

The AAP party also wrote on ‘X’ that the incident was heart-wrenching and shameful.

“In Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh, Aam Aadmi Party worker, Rachana Yadav, was brutally murdered in broad daylight, shot right outside her home. This incident not only exposes the complete failure of law and order but also raises serious questions about the safety of women,” the party stated.

“It is absolutely unacceptable for such a heinous crime to occur in the Chief Minister’s own assembly constituency. The culprits must receive the strictest possible punishment. May God grant peace to the departed soul,” read the post.

The Delhi Police have lodged an FIR and are investigating the matter. They have accessed a few CCTV footage and said they are close to solving the case.
