New Delhi, (UNI) Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva today stated that the BJP- government has been actively working to resolve the bus availability crisis, which he claimed was left behind by the previous Arvind Kejriwal government.
According to the BJP leader, it is by continuously adding buses to the DTC fleet and reviewing the utilization of bus routes, the state government is addressing the issue faced by the people with regard to the crucial mode of public transport.
Sachdeva said that in just 8 months, the new BJP government has added over 600 buses to the DTC fleet and has placed an order for 2,800 new buses, which will arrive by 2026.
In contrast, during its 10 years in power, the previous Kejriwal government did not add even a single bus to the DTC fleet, he alleged.
Responding to AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj’s statement regarding DTC buses, Sachdeva further alleged that the current shortage of buses in Delhi is the direct result of the negligence of the previous AAP regime, of which Bhardwaj was a key face.
Sharpening his attack on the AAP leader, Sachdeva accused Bhardwaj of having no concern for the people’s problems, alleging that he makes videos on issues like Yamuna pollution, air pollution, and others to upload them on his social media channels for personal gains, he added..
Meanwhile, Bharadwaj today alleged that Delhi’s public transport system has completely collapsed, and passengers were found waiting for hours due to the severe shortage of buses.
