Srinagar, Oct 7 (UNI) Kashmir Chief Cleric and Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been named among the most influential Muslim personalities by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (RISSC) Jordan.
Mirwaiz Farooq has been included in the “Muslim500” for the 11th time in a row by RISSC, Jordon for the year 2025, a statement of Mirwaiz said here on Monday.
The RISSC is an independent research entity affiliated with the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought, an international Islamic non-governmental institute headquartered in Amman, the capital of Jordan.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz urged India and Pakistan to start a dialogue so that the aspirations of the Kashmiri people may be realised.
