Mumbai, Dec 9 (UNI) Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan initially declined to work in the “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” franchise because he thought it was just a sequel idea and “there was no story”.
Kartik represented India at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, where he interacted with audiences and industry figures from around the world.
In the Session, Kartik shared that he had initially turned down the “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” franchise. “When the film first came to me, there was no story – just a sequel idea. I wasn’t keen. But Bhushan (Kumar) sir convinced me, we worked on it, and everything changed. Today, wherever I go, kids call me Rooh Baba. I’m glad I eventually did it,” he said.
“Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” and the subsequent “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” proved to be milestones in Kartik’s career. “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,” in particular, achieved tremendous success in theatres in the post-COVID era, drawing audiences back to the big screen and firmly establishing Kartik’s box office presence.
The revelation, made at the Red Sea International Film Festival, not only gave a glimpse into his journey with the franchise but also highlighted his global influence, making him one of the most popular stars in Bollywood.
