Kanhaia Lodhi named President of Central India Press Club

Bhopal: The Central India Press Club Public Trust, Bhopal, has announced the formation of its new district executive body, with Kanhaia Lodhi, News Editor at Navbharat Bhopal, appointed as its new District President. The newly constituted executive committee comprises 21 members who have been entrusted with key roles.

A vision for journalistic integrity

Lodhi, a veteran journalist with two decades of experience with the Press Club, previously served as its State Secretary and Joint Secretary. The new leadership aims to bolster the organization’s mission of empowering journalism, fostering mutual cooperation within the media fraternity, and safeguarding journalists’ rights.

Ajit Dwivedi has been named Vice President, while Sushil Agrawal will serve as General Secretary. Lodhi stated that the new executive body is committed to transforming the Press Club into a robust platform for dialogue, collaboration, and ethical journalism. He also emphasized the group’s focus on resolving local journalists’ issues, addressing social concerns, and mentoring the next generation of reporters.

The Central India Press Club has a history of successfully organizing key events such as “Meet the Press” programs, training workshops, and seminars on media ethics and social responsibility. The new leadership’s objective is to uphold the principles of transparency, credibility, and social accountability in journalism.
