Bhopal: The Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) organized a health camp in Prem Nagar Basti on Monday, benefiting over 70 residents. The primary aim was to offer basic health checkups and counselling, especially to underserved sections of the community.
During the camp, doctors checked blood pressure and sugar levels of participants, uncovering a worrying trend—15 individuals, all aged between 35 and 50, were found to have elevated blood pressure and sugar levels. This finding highlights the growing threat of lifestyle-related diseases in the middle-aged population.
JUDA President Dr. Kuldeep Gupta said the camp focused strongly on dietary awareness to manage hypertension and diabetes. Doctors advised patients on adopting balanced diets and making necessary lifestyle changes. Women were also educated about nutrition to combat anemia.
Additionally, deworming medication was provided to children, an essential step toward improving child health in the area.
Doctors Dr. Pallavi, Dr. Priyal Pandey, Dr. Rashmi, and Dr. Gursharan Singh also played key roles in the camp, contributing their expertise and time to make the initiative a success. The health camp not only served immediate medical needs but also aimed to promote long-term awareness and prevention among residents.
