Johansson confirmed for next Jurassic World movie

New Delhi, June 25 (UNI) Scarlett Johansson has officially announced her involvement in the upcoming Jurassic World film, confirming longstanding rumours about her participation.

The actress, widely recognised for her role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressed her excitement and longstanding desire to be part of the franchise.

According to a report, the new film, currently untitled, will be directed by Gareth Edwards, known for his work on “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”.

The story is penned by David Koepp, one of the original screenwriters of Jurassic Park, who returns to the franchise after nearly three decades. Johansson was particularly enthusiastic about the script and Koepp’s contributions, the report said.

“The script is so incredible,” Johansson remarked. “David Koepp wrote it. He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He’s so passionate about it, which is so awesome.”

Johansson will be joined by a diverse cast including Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend.

The film is currently in production and is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025.
