J&K: Police attach property of 2 Pakistan-based terrorist handlers

Srinagar, Aug 27 (UNI) Police on Tuesday attached property of two Pakistan based terrorist handlers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Police said the property attached included a land, measuring 2 Kanals and 6 Marlas owned by Asad Mir and Manzoor Ahmad Qureshi alias Mir, both residents of Jumgand, Kupwara.

The attachment was carried out following the investigation of an FIR lodged at Police Station Trehgam.

“Through extensive intelligence gathering and meticulous investigation, police identified and subsequently attached the property of these terrorist handlers” , police said and added “It is pertinent to mention here that both the terrorist handlers have been a persistent threat to the peace and security of J&K”.

“By targeting the assets of terrorist handlers, the authorities aim to undermine their ability to fund and facilitate terrorist operations. The attachment of the property is a part of the on-going efforts to choke the financial and logistical support for terrorist organizations and their enablers”, they said. UNI QAB SSP
