Jitu Patwari slams MP Government over IAS transfers

  • Raises questions on administrative stability

Bhopal – Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the state government following the recent transfer of nine Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. He alleged growing administrative chaos in the state and questioned the rationale behind the frequent bureaucratic reshuffles.

Speaking to the media, Patwari asked, “Why are these transfers happening? In the Chief Minister’s Secretariat alone, four Principal Secretaries have been changed in just 18 months. Why? What’s the justification? Either they’re failing to choose the right people, or perhaps the officers are unable to meet the Chief Minister’s expectations.”

Patwari claimed that the repeated transfers reflect a state of administrative instability, which is ultimately affecting governance and public services. He alleged that the frequent reshuffles were symptomatic of deeper issues within the government and that the public was bearing the brunt of this dysfunction.

Taking aim at the Chief Minister’s recent remarks on the OBC reservation issue, Patwari said, “The Chief Minister’s comment—‘Can a law be made with four lines on a slip?’—reveals a lack of understanding and seriousness.”

Demanding transparency, Patwari urged the government to clearly explain the reasons behind these transfers. He argued that such actions erode administrative efficiency and delay policy implementation.
