Bhubaneswar, Sep 2 (UNI) Reliance Jio, the leading digital service provider in Odisha, has achieved a major milestone as its popular 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service JioAirFiber crossed the 2-lakh subscriber mark in the state by July 2025.
JioAirFiber now dominates the 5G FWA segment in Odisha with an 83 percent subscriber market share and over 2.11 lakh users across the state. In July alone, Jio added 16,775 new subscribers, the highest for any operator in this category.
The service has been particularly impactful in rural and semi-urban areas, where it helps overcome the challenges of last-mile fiber connectivity. JioAirFiber has redefined accessibility and digital inclusion, empowering students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and families with high-speed broadband, unlimited Wi-Fi, 800 TV channels, 11 OTT apps, and more.
Jio also registered the highest subscriber additions across wireless, wireline, and 5G FWA segments in Odisha, outpacing all competitors.
Currently, Jio is powering more than 5.58 lakh homes and establishments in Odisha with cutting-edge digital services through JioFiber and JioAirFiber.
As of July 31, 2025, Jio leads the wireline segment with over 50 percent subscriber share and about 3.47 lakh JioFiber users—more than double that of its nearest rival. In July alone, Jio added 12,898 new wireline subscribers, accounting for 73 percent of all new connections in the state.
According to TRAI data, Jio further strengthened its position as the No. 1 digital service provider in Odisha, adding over 59,000 new mobile subscribers in July. During the same period, both Airtel and BSNL lost thousands of users.
With this growth, Jio’s mobile subscriber base in Odisha has reached 1.64 crore, commanding a 46.4 percentr market share, thereby consolidating its leadership in the state.
