New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) International Cricket Council(ICC) Chairman Jay Shah of Saturday unveiled the trophy of the ’72 The league’ in the presence of Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) President Kapil Dev and PGTI CEO Amandeep Johl.
Addressing the gathering, Jay Shah said that he is confident that Golf will grow under the leadership of Kapil Dev and his team.
He launched the 72 The league trophy and congratulated the team owners.
The ’72 The League’ will be India’s first franchise based professional Golf league. The six city-based teams – Capital Lancers (Delhi), Charminar Champions (Hyderabad), Kolkata Classics, Mumbai Aces, Rajasthan Regals and UP Prometheans will compete in the league.
The inaugural edition of the league will be played in Delhi NCR from February 24 to March 6. The league will be played across three of Delhi NCR’s Golf venues- Classic Golf & Country Club, Qutab Golf Course and Jaypee Greens.
