New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Bill Gates, the founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and former Microsoft CEO, is set to make a surprising special appearance in one of the upcoming episodes of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’, starring Smriti Irani.
Today, the makers released a promo video that took fans by surprise – featuring Gates greeting Smriti Irani’s iconic character, Tulsi, with a warm “Jai Shri Krishna” over a virtual call.
Sharing the clip on Instagram, the official StarPlus handle wrote, “Iss baar KyunkiSaasBhiKabhiBahuThi ki kahaani ke beech, ek naya rishta jud raha hai – sehat ka, samvedna ka, aur badlaav ka. Aur iss kahani mein jude hain duniya ke sabse bade changemaker – Bill Gates, ek soch ke saath: har maa aur har bachcha rahe surakshit aur swasth… Mr Bill Gates aur humari Tulsi ke iss vishay par vichaar jaanne ke liye dekhiye, KyunkiSaasBhiKabhiBahuThi, aaj raat 10:30 baje, sirf StarPlus aur Hotstar par.”
In the promo, Smriti Irani’s Tulsi welcomes Gates with, “Jai Shri Krishna,” to which the billionaire philanthropist replies, “Namaste Tulsi ji, Jai Shri Krishna.”
Smiling, Tulsi responds, “Bahut accha laga yeh jaanke ki aap seedha America se mere parivaar se jud rahe hain. Hum sab aapka besabri se intezaar kar rahe hain.”
To this, Gates replies warmly, “Thank you, Tulsi ji.”
The unexpected crossover between the global tech icon and one of India’s most beloved TV characters has left fans intrigued and nostalgic.
The second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi premiered on July 29, 2025, reviving the magic of the early 2000s television era. Social media has since been abuzz with throwbacks, fan theories, and clips from the new season, as viewers reconnect with the Shanti Niketan family.
