Jerusalem, Sep 2 (UNI) The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said Monday it had carried out airstrikes on military sites belonging to the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
“Overnight, the IAF [Israeli air force] struck Hezbollah military structures in the areas of Yaroun, Ayta ash Shab, Hanine, Tayr Harfa and Blida in southern Lebanon,” the IDF said on Telegram.
Tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border have escalated since Israel’s military operations in the Gaza Strip began in October 2023. Both the Israeli army and Hezbollah fighters have exchanged fire almost daily in the border regions.
