Iraq declares 3-Day mourning of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei death: Reports

Baghdad, Mar 1 (SPUTNIK/UNI) Iraq has declared three days of mourning after confirming the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Iraqi news agency INA reported on Sunday.

On Saturday, the United States and Israel launched a series of strikes on Iranian targets, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran launched retaliatory missile strikes on Israeli territory, as well as on US military infrastructure in the Middle East. The Iraqi government has declared three days of mourning throughout the country, the news agency reported.
