Bhopal: The Indian Naturopathy and Yoga Graduates Medical Association (INYGMA), Madhya Pradesh branch, held a significant meeting at Sant Hirdaram Medical College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Bhopal, on Tuesday. INYGMA is a national organization of Class ‘A’ medical practitioners holding a 5.5-year BNYS degree, dedicated to promoting yoga and naturopathy across India and making these therapies accessible to the public.
This event marked the beginning of a new chapter in the growth of naturopathy and yoga science in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Rajesh Singh, Executive Director of Central INYGMA, with College Director Hero Gyanchandani also present. A new executive committee was elected, with Prof. Ankesh Singh as President. Dr. Saraswati Tewani, Dr. Akash Bisone, Dr. Vakil Khan, and Dr. Hirdesh Bharti were appointed as Vice Presidents. Other office bearers and members were also elected.
The committee discussed a one-year strategy and outlined the roles and responsibilities of newly inducted naturopathy and yoga doctors. In his address, President Ankesh Singh emphasized that while other states have made significant progress in this field, Madhya Pradesh lags behind. The new executive aims to bridge this gap through government and private-level initiatives, including the establishment of research and wellness centers to promote healthier lifestyles across the state.
