Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Global Investors Summit has been organized in Bhopal under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and all sectors are getting its benefits. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, referring to the changing identity of the state capital Bhopal, said that now it is being identified with investment, industry and trade. On the first day of the Global Investors Summit on Monday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the industrialists of IT and tech sector in the summit “Tech Invest Madhya Pradesh” of the Department of Science and Technology.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that IT is a different kind of world and there are infinite possibilities of investment and expansion in this sector. Appreciating the policies made in the field of IT, the Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh has made the best policy as compared to other states. He said that investors will benefit from these policies. The Madhya Pradesh government is committed to expanding the IT sector. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that places where there were challenges in the IT sector, IT hubs are being established there today.
In the departmental summit, Madhya Pradesh’s vision of making India the next technology superpower was discussed. Investment proposals were received from various institutions and MoUs were signed. In the session, various panelists shared their views in the sessions organized on Madhya Pradesh’s global center for IT, electronics, semiconductors, drones, AVGC-XR, data center and Global Capability Center (GCC).
A total investment of Rs 25 thousand 640 crore was received in various technology sectors in the summit, which will create about one lakh 83 thousand 400 employment opportunities. An investment of Rs 5500 crore was received in the IT and ITS sector. This will create an estimated 93 thousand jobs. An investment of Rs 14 thousand crore was received in the ESDM sector, which will create about 14 thousand jobs. An investment of Rs 6800 crore was received for the data center, which will create 2900 employment opportunities. An investment of Rs 700 crore was received in GCC, which will create 40 thousand 500 employment opportunities. An investment of Rs 110 crore was received in ABGC-XR, which will create 3000 employment opportunities. An investment of Rs 180 crore was received in the drone sector, which will provide employment to about 30 thousand people.
Madhya Pradesh at the forefront of India’s digital revolution: Sanjay Dubey
Additional Chief Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Sanjay Dubey emphasized the commitment to make the state a leader in the IT sector. He said that Madhya Pradesh is at the forefront of India’s digital revolution. He said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to provide guarantee of public services. Here the system of registration and transfer of land is online. It has secured second place in the country in the National Service Delivery Assessment 2025. The country’s cleanest city is Indore and the cleanest capital is Bhopal. The tier two cities here are strengthening the state’s position as a technological destination. ACS Shri Dubey gave detailed information about the GCC industry in India. He highlighted the key provisions of Madhya Pradesh’s GCC policy. He informed about the investment facilities being provided in Madhya Pradesh. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Dubey said that the state has launched impressive IT, ITS and ESDM Investment Promotion Policy-2023, GCC Policy-2025, ABGC XR Policy-2025, Drone Promotion and Use Policy 2025 and Semiconductor Policy 2025. These policies are helping in attracting global investors and creating a developed ecosystem in the state. Provisions have been made in the policies for capex, land and interest exemption, plug-and-play facility etc.
India should move towards becoming a product powerhouse: Dr. Chaudhary
Padma Bhushan award winner, co-founder and former MD HCL, Founder EPIC Foundation Dr. Ajay Chaudhary said that India should move towards becoming a product powerhouse by integrating design centers, start-ups, academia and global marketing. We should try to establish companies like Google, Microsoft in India. India should be made a product nation. There are immense possibilities of increasing IT and electronics production capacity in Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Chaudhary emphasized on technological investment and long-term strategies. He said that we should think towards making Indian companies among the top five companies in the world in the next 20 years. Dr. Chaudhary emphasized the need to further strengthen the ‘Make in India’ initiative and transform it into ‘Design and Make in India’. He praised the policies of the Madhya Pradesh government and said that the state is promoting policies focused on semiconductors, drones and other cutting-edge technologies. In such a situation, if India has to be made a leader in the global technological scenario, then more investment will have to be made in technology manufacturing.
