Internet Service to Enhance Tourist Experience at Van Vihar National Park

Bhopal: Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal sees thousands of tourists every day, making it one of the city’s most visited attractions. To improve the experience for visitors, the park administration is working on enhancing internet services within the park.

This initiative is being driven by the increasing trend of tourists using UPI payments to buy tickets. However, due to network issues or slow mobile data, payments often face delays, causing inconvenience to visitors. To address this, the park authorities are exploring ways to offer faster and more reliable internet services to ensure smoother transactions.

In a related update, the park has recently increased its entry fees, effective from Thursday, October 7. On average, over 1,000 tourists visit the park daily. For pedestrians, an additional fee of 5 rupees is charged, while cyclists pay 10 rupees more, and those visiting by car will be required to pay an extra 50 rupees. Additionally, a 10-rupee fee has been introduced for visitors opting for a tour of the park’s golf course.

Around 30% of the tourists visiting Van Vihar prefer to purchase their tickets online through UPI payments. Currently, tickets are issued at the entry gate, with payment options available through both card and cash. These new initiatives are expected to not only improve the visitor experience but also streamline the overall operations of the park.
