Kochi, Oct 25 (UNI) The 53rd Annual Sessions and Meetings (ASM) of the International Pepper Community (IPC) and the International Spice Exhibition (ISE) will be held here from October 28 to 29, 2025.
The prestigious global event is being hosted by the Government of India and jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Spices Board India, and the International Pepper Community (IPC).
This year’s theme, “Revitalizing Pepper Trade: Innovation, Equity, and Regional Resilience,” aims to highlight the urgent need for innovation and collaboration in the spice sector.
With the global trade environment undergoing major shifts, the sessions will focus on building regional resilience, equitable participation, and sustainable growth in the pepper industry.
The two-day international meet will bring together delegates, policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and traders from across the globe.
The event will feature the official launch of the 53rd IPC ASM & ISE, the announcement of the IPC Best Awards 2024, and a series of technical sessions, exhibitions, and business networking forums.
Top officials including Ms. Marina N. Anggraini, Executive Director of IPC, and Ms. P. Hemalatha, IAS, Secretary, Spices Board, will attend the event along with senior government representatives, dignitaries, and industry stakeholders.
The International Pepper Community, an intergovernmental organization established in 1972 under the UN-ESCAP, includes India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam as permanent members, with Papua New Guinea and the Philippines as associate members. The IPC Secretariat is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia, and India currently holds the Chairmanship of the Community.
Membership in the IPC is open to all pepper-producing countries, subject to the unanimous consent of existing members.
