The first Unicorn International FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament 2024 will be organized at TIT College Bhopal from July 13 -17, in which chess players from India and abroad are going to participate. The winners of the tournament will be given a total prize of Rs 10 lakh. Matches will be played for a total of 142 trophies.
While giving information about this competition, Organizing Secretary Ravi Srivastava said that apart from India, chess players from Israel, Bangladesh, America, Zimbabwe will also play in this. This competition is being organized by Unicorn Chess Academy in collaboration with All India Chess Federation, FIDE, MP Chess Adhoc Committee, in which 117 winning players of different categories will be givenĀ coaches.comĀ gold membership. Along with this, memberships to Nurture Niyathe will be given to 10 players and ChessX Plus to 64 players.
The tournament will be inaugurated by Sports Minister Kailash Vishwas Sarang at 9.30 am on July 13. The patron of the competition, former Director CBI Rishi Kumar Shukla, Director Sports and Youth Welfare Department Ravi Gupta, Director of Chirayu Hospital Ajay Goenka and Chairman of TIT Group Dr. Karsolia will remain present. All the players will reach Bhopal on July 12 to participate in the competition.
The competition will be played in nine rounds and will conclude on July 17 at 5 pm.
These players of MP will be in focus
Players from MP and Bhopal will also participate in the competition. These include the names of Madhavendra Pratap Sharma, Kushagra Srivastava, Kamad Mishra, Avika Pawar, Kanishka Chaudhary and Charvi Mehta. Bhopal Chess Association President Bhupendra Singh, Secretary Savita Srivastava and Vikram Singh Tomar, Pramod Shukla, Anmol Srivastava and Aditi Srivastava from the organizing committee shared these information in the press conference.
