- Rs 627 crore compensation to boost farmers, pave way for Simhastha
Ujjain: Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silawat has announced that work on the Indore–Ujjain Greenfield Four-Lane Road Project will commence shortly, calling it a crucial foundation for Simhastha Mahaparva 2028. The project is expected to strengthen connectivity between the two cities and accelerate industrial, commercial and religious tourism.
Silawat expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for approving nearly Rs 627 crore in compensation for 662 farmers across 19 villages in Sanwer constituency. He assured that the administration would ensure fair and timely payments.
The project includes service roads, underpasses and essential ducts to improve safety and traffic flow. Farmers welcomed the compensation decision, celebrating with firecrackers and felicitating the Minister at Residency Kothi. They termed the move financially empowering and a milestone for regional development.
